USCIS Resumes Premium Processing for All H-1B Petitions

On October 3, 2017, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) resumed premium processing for all types of H-1B visa petitions.

USCIS had previously suspended premium processing service for all H-1B petitions on April 3, 2017, and, until the latest announcement, had only resumed premium processing for certain categories of H-1B visa petitions.

Premium processing is an add-on service available for select categories of employment-based petitions and applications filed with USCIS. Cases filed with premium processing service receive expedited handling by USCIS, including a guaranteed initial response within 15 calendar days. To request premium processing on a case, an additional form and filing fee are required.
