Attorney López Presents on DACA to TEMPO Madison

Attorney Glorily A. López presented on the topic of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) to TEMPO members and their guests at Madison Club on August 8, 2017. Attorney López conveyed to the attendees the original purpose of DACA, who the “Dreamers” are, and what Americans (including those right here in Madison and Dane County) need to know about the impact of the potentially changing immigration priorities under the Trump administration. Attorney López’s presentation concluded with numerous questions and engaging commentary by TEMPO participants. Her presentation can be found here.

In addition, as an act of gratitude for her presentation, TEMPO made a contribution in Attorney López’s name toward a scholarship for the education of a female student in Madison. Recipients of the scholarship embody the spirit of beloved TEMPO member, Betty von Rutenberg, who passed away from cancer several years ago.
